The basic Rome tours are divided into the following half- day and full day itineraries.

1. HALF DAY
Pick up at Civitavecchia and transfer to Rome with English speaking driver. Sightseeing of Rome’s principal sights with a professional English-speaking guide. Afternoon free for wandering and shopping before returning to Civitavecchia.

2. FULL DAY
a. Pick up at Civitavecchia. Transfer to Rome with English speaking driver
Meet professional English speaking guide who will take clients to see the major sights of Rome including Ancient Rome (the Forum, Coliseum and the Pantheon), the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican Museum and St. Peters. Lunch on own. Return to ship in late afternoon.

b. Pick up at Civitavecchia and transfer to Rome with English speaking driver
Meet professional English-speaking guide who will lead tour of Ancient Rome (Coliseum, the Forum, Palatine Hill, Pantheon) Underground Rome (the excavations under the St. Clemente church and a walking tour of Rome’s most famous Piazzas and Fountains -- Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps). Return to Civitavecchia in late afternoon.

“A STEP ABOVE” TOUR (FULL DAY)
This special tour focuses on the legacy of the Roman aristocracy and includes visits to two magnificent palaces recently opened or renovated. The first, Palazzo Doria Pamphili, is a majestic 16th century Palace with a notable collection of paintings by Caravaggio, Velasquez and Carraci. The major part of the tour visits the Villa Borghese, its beautiful park, and the Borghese Museum, with its world-renowned collection of paintings by Raphael, Titian, Correggio and Caravaggio as well as sculptures by Canova and Bernini. This tour includes a wonderful lunch (on own) at one of Rome’s famous trattorias. Because of Museum and Palace closing days, this tour is available every day except Mondays and Thursdays.
