This special tour focuses on the legacy of the Roman aristocracy and includes visits to two magnificent palaces recently opened or renovated. The first, Palazzo Doria Pamphilj, is a majestic sixteenth-century palace with a notable collection of paintings by Caravaggio, Velázquez and Carracci. The major part of the tour visits the Villa Borghese, its beautiful park, and the Borghese Museum, with its world-renowned collection of paintings by Raphael, Titian, Correggio and Caravaggio as well as sculptures by Canova and Bernini. This tour includes a wonderful lunch (on own) at one of Rome’s famous trattorias. Because of Museum and Palace closing days, this tour is available every day except Mondays and Thursdays.
