This charming Art Nouveau villa was built over 100 years ago as a summer residence. It has been recently restored under the careful eyes of its owner, a British TV art director. The villa is located in the charming town of Laglio, about 10 minutes up Lake Como from the famed Villa d’Este. It has all modern facilities and yet maintains its original elegance and atmosphere.
Villa Laglio has a large entrance hall, modern kitchen with granite-surfaced cabinets, an adjoining elegant dining room, a large living room and a laundry area. There is also a powder room on the main floor. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. Nearly all have TV with DVD and video. The large master double bedroom opens to a long balcony overlooking the lake. It has an en suite bathroom with Victorian style bath, double basins and a large walk-in shower.
The second bedroom suite has an attractive double bedroom, an adjoining third single bedroom (or sitting room) and an en suite bathroom.
The second floor of the house has a fourth large twin bedroom (with en suite bath room), a fifth bedroom (used principally as a family/game room), another twin bedroom, a bathroom (with shower) and the last small double bedroom.
Accommodations: in all, the villa can sleep twelve.
The large pool, with beautiful lake view, is on the second terrace, set among fruit trees and an attractive lawn. There is a sheltered pergola with a long dining table, chairs, a barbecue, refrigerator, as well as a shower. This is a wonderful family villa.
