Villa Santa Caterina

Villa Santa Caterina was built in the early 18th century and lovingly restored by an American-Australian family in 1996.Every effort has been made to retain its original character using old and authentic materials wherever possible. The main house is about 3300 square feet with wood beam ceilings and terracotta floors. The Villa is decorated in very comfortable Umbrian/Tuscan style with many antiques and oriental rugs.

Santa Caterina is located on the top of a hill overlooking the beautiful Valencino valley. From its vantage point, it has magnificent views in all directions—gently rolling hills and farmlands on one side and rugged mountains with medieval castles on the other. The villa is in the heart of Umbria , seven miles from the village of Umbertide and it is very close to Perugia , Assisi and Gubbio. Both Orvieto (famous for its wine and its magnificent Cathedral) and Deruta (renowned for its pottery) are a short drive away.
