Sicily is truly a joy to the eye, the intellect and the palate. This is a perfect trip for a couple or two or a small group of family or friends.

Arrival Palermo. Transfer to your hotel. Dinner at leisure. Overnight.


Buffet breakfast in hotel. Morning tour of Palermo, a Baroque jewel, visiting the city’s highlights (the seventeenth-century Quattro Canti, the Palazzo dei Normanni, the Church of La Martorana). Lunch on own. In afternoon proceed to Monreale, with its unforgettable twelfth-century Duomo and Cloisters. The interior of the Duomo itself is almost entirely covered with Byzantine mosaics of both the Old and New Testament. Overnight in Palermo.


Buffet breakfast in hotel. Leave for a tour of Selinunte, once the capital of Magna Grecia. The ancient Temples of Selinunte, with its profiles standing out against the sky, represents one of the most important archaeological sites in the Mediterranean.
Depart for Marsala, famous for its wine production. Wine tasting with a wine expert at the Cantine Pellegrino. Following this, a visit to an olive oil frantoio (for olive oil tasting) followed by a delicious Sicilian lunch.
In the afternoon proceed to Segesta, with its magnificent Greek Temple and the ruins of the Greek theater overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare.
Transfer to Agrigento and overnight.


Buffet breakfast. Day dedicated to a visit of the Valley of the Temples—with a specialized guide. The Greek archaeological ruins are numerous, dominated by the most spectacular structure, the Temple of Concordia, which is surrounded by the ruins of the temples dedicated to Juno, Jupiter, Castor and Pollux, Hercules, Vulcan and Aesculapius. Dinner tonight in a seaside restaurant. Overnight Agrigento.


Buffet breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Piazza Armerina and visit of the Roman Villa of Casale, a fourth-century B.C. villa famous for its intact beautiful mosaics. In afternoon travel to Caltagirone, today considered the capital of Sicilian ceramics (the “Faenza of Sicily”). Visit several ceramic factories before proceeding to Villa Tasca, a charming farmhouse where you will overnight.


Buffet breakfast in hotel. Morning transfer to Eremo della Giubiliana, a completely restructured convent for a cooking class dedicated to the culinary traditions of the local noble families. Lunch at the Hermitage, comprised of dishes prepared during the lesson. In the afternoon visit Ragusa Ibla, a magnificent example of Sicilian Baroque architecture. Transfer to Siracusa and overnight in a luxurious hotel.


Buffet breakfast in hotel. Magnificent Siracusa was the most important Hellenic town in all of Sicily. Its Greek and Roman ruins testify to its former glory—the Greek Theatre, the Altar of Hiero, the Roman Amphitheatre. Afternoon dedicated to a tour of Ortigia, the medieval part of Siracusa, which has been carefully restored during the last ten years. Overnight at your hotel.


Morning drive along the coast to Taormina, the world-renowned seaside resort dominated by Mount Etna. Stop in Catania, Sicily’s second largest city, a lively town known for its beautiful Baroque architecture as well as the “dark colors” of its building facades—made from nearby volcanic stone. Visit the city’s most important monuments, its colorful fish market. A special stop will be made at the Palazzo Biscari, Catania’s most beautiful private Palazzo, where you will be received by the Baroness Nicoletta Moncada.
Overnight at a 5 star luxury hotel. Dinner at a classic Sicilian restaurant and overnight.


Buffet breakfast in hotel. Day dedicated to a relaxing visit of Taormina—its Greek Theater and its main street, Corso Umberto. Overnight.


Transfer to Catania and flight home.
