You will meet your private special English speaking guide in the Jewish Ghetto at the entrance to the Jewish Museum for a private tour of Venice’ s four magnificent Synagogues ( Spanish, Levantine, German and Italian), built by the various Jewish communities which settled in Venice for commercial activities in the 16th century, between 1531 and 1570.

Unique Synagogues in Venice

All are very unique in their architecture design. The population of the Ghetto reached it apex in 1650 when 4,000 Jews lived in an area of 2 to 2 1/5 city blocks.

You will also visit the Museum which contains precious artifacts and memorabilia. 2016 celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Ghetto.
